Here are a few items we will offer as U-Pick this season! Our season runs from April into October, with berries, veggies, and flowers coming in seasonally.
-

U-Pick Berries
Strawberries are usually ready to u-pick by May 1, if not sooner. Email or DM if you travel a long way to make sure we are doing U-Pick that day.
Blackberries are a late June into July crop, usually picked out by the end of July.
We have planted raspberries to offer more U-pick variety and options and to extend our growing season into the fall—more info to come on raspberries!

U-Pick Flowers

Our U-pick dahlia cups are available for $35, blooming beautifully from late July until the first frost in early October. No discount on return visits for dahlias—they’re too precious!
In the spring, you can also enjoy U-pick wildflowers and daffodils. Tulips are available at $2/stem.
As summer arrives, our offerings expand to include a half-acre of vibrant cut annual flowers and sunflowers, featuring a delightful Sunflower Maze throughout July and August.

Wildflowers and Annual Cut Flowers (April through Late September): $85 per bucket
Dahlias (Late June until first frost in October): $100 per bucket
NOTE: Outside buckets are no longer permitted but we will provide as many new, clean buckets as you like!

And more to U-Pick!
Our mission is to provide fresh veggies grown in our Western North Carolina climate, grown with organic practices, to offer the public a location to come see and taste what fresh vegetables look and taste like. Our U-pick vegetables will be available in the summer, changing each year, subject to availability, weather, etc. U-pick veggies usually include a variety of peppers and tomatoes, squash and zucchini, fresh herbs, asparagus from April to May, and many other varieties into pumpkin season.
How it works: Check in at the farm stand, grab a bucket, and ask the location of veggies and what is growing. As always, whatever you pick, you pay for. Bring your bucket back to the farm stand and have your vegetables weighed out. Please ONLY PICK what is open to the public—we grow vegetables for our CSA members that are not available for U-pick and clearly marked. NO DOGS in U-Pick fields—which includes berries, flowers, sunflower maze, wildflowers, and veggies.
Thank you for supporting the Garden!
U-PICK ETIQUETTE: Rules of the field!
All dogs must be on a leash at all times. NO DOGS EVER allowed in U-Pick fields. This includes wildflowers, cut flowers, dahlias, veggies, berries, asparagus patch, and the sunflower maze—anything that is available to U-pick. Dogs are welcome in our picnic area, parking lot, and paths that access the various fields.
Please SAMPLE 1 OR 2 BERRIES but DO NOT SNACK or eat multiple berries from our fields. We hand plant these berries, flowers, and veggies, we weed and mulch by hand and never spray with pesticides, we invest our time, money, and energy into long hours to grow the best possible produce for you. Please don’t steal from us. We live on site. We see this happen often. Please be respectful and do better. It’s the same as the grocery store—you wouldn’t do this or teach your kids this, so please don’t do it in our fields.
Our fields are ONLY OPEN during OPENING HOURS—no, you can’t come early on Sunday and walk our fields or pick before we open. This is private land and we are a family run farm and deeply cherish our private family time. Keep to the boundaries, do not approach houses on property, and stay out of all barns, greenhouses, and high tunnels. These areas are strictly off limits. You will be asked to leave immediately if you are on our land outside of normal business hours. The only exceptions are private events and previously scheduled photography sessions.
Rows are usually covered in plastic to help manage the weeds with organic practices. DO NOT STEP OVER THE ROWS, but walk the rows and cross over at the end. Please make sure your children do the same!
