📋 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
🍲 Chili Preparation: All chili must be fully prepared and cooked prior to the event. Cooking on-site is not allowed.
⚡ Crockpots: Please bring your chili in a crockpot, ready to serve.
🌶️ Quantity: Prepare a minimum of 1 gallon of chili to ensure there is enough for judging and public tasting.
⏰ Arrival & Setup: Please arrive and have your station set up by 2:30 PM.
🏆 Judging: Chili will be judged on taste, texture, aroma, and appearance. Participants should be present at their station from 3:00–4:00 PM.
🥄 Public Tasting: At 4:00 PM, we'll open the cook-off to the public! Donations will be accepted for tasting, with 100% of donations going to Haywood Christian Ministry, a local nonprofit that supports farms and farmers in providing access to good food within Haywood County. ❤️🌱
⚠️ Food Safety: Please follow all food safety guidelines. Clearly list all ingredients and any allergens present in your chili at your station.
🤝 Sportsmanship: Bring your best chili and your best attitude! Please display good sportsmanship and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
