FAQs & U-Pick Etiquette
Welcome to The Ten Acre Garden! 🌻 We’re so glad you’re here and chose to spend some time on our farm. We’re a small working farm, and we love sharing the Garden with our community.
Because what’s available changes throughout the growing season, we always recommend checking our website or social media before your visit for the most current information.
U-Pick is one of our favorite ways to share the farm with you, and your help taking care of the plants makes it possible for us to keep doing it. Please help us keep the Garden beautiful, productive, and enjoyable for everyone. 🌱💚

🌿 4. Are you organic? And do you spray?
We use organic practices on everything we manage at The Ten Acre Garden. 🌱We do not use any pesticides or harmful chemicals on the farm. Because we are growing food, flowers, and crops in a working farm environment, please feel free to ask us questions about our growing practices when you visit.
🌸 5. Why don’t you have U-Pick every day?
U-Pick availability depends entirely on what is ripe and ready to harvest. 🌱🍓We don't want to open the fields when there isn't enough ripe fruit or flowers available for a good experience. Weather, growing conditions, and harvest quantities can also affect our schedule. Our U-Pick schedule may change from week to week, so always check before coming out.

🌸 U-PICK ETIQUETTE
🌼 Please Pick With Care
Only pick produce and flowers that are ripe and ready. Be gentle with the plants, flowers, berries, and fruit. Please don't pull, yank, break, or climb on plants.
🚫 Please Don't Eat in the Field
We know it's tempting! 😋 But all U-Pick produce must be weighed and paid for before it is eaten.
🍓 Picking Is for Picking — Not Throwing!
We work hard to grow your food and flowers. Please treat the crops with care and respect.
🚶 Stay in the Walkways
Please stay on designated paths and walkways. Do not walk on planting rows, plastic, beds, or growing areas. Doing so can damage plants and affect future harvests.
🐕 No Dogs in U-Pick Areas
For the safety of our food and crops, dogs are not allowed in U-Pick fields or near vegetables, berries, or flowers. Leashed dogs are welcome only in designated areas.
🧺 Check Out Before Heading Back to Your Car
Please bring your picked items to the checkout area promptly after picking so they can be weighed and paid for. Once you've checked out, you're welcome to sit, picnic, enjoy the farm, or grab some food. 🌻
👧 Keep Kids Close
Children are always welcome! 💛 Please keep little ones close and help them understand that the farm is a working farm. We ask that everyone handles the plants gently and follows the same U-Pick rules.
🌱 Please Don't Enter Closed Areas
The Ten Acre Garden is both a working farm and our home. Please stay in public areas and do not enter closed fields, private areas, equipment areas, or areas marked as off-limits. Absolutely no trespassing on private homes or closed areas.
💚 Help Us Take Care of This Place
